Montana State University invites the MSU and Bozeman communities to join in the annual Lights on Montana Hall celebration Wednesday, December 3rd, at 5:30pm.
The event will be held outside on the Michael P. Malone Centennial Mall on the south side of Montana Hall. It will feature free refreshments and entertainment as attendees view the traditional holiday light display projected on Montana Hall.
MSU President Brock Tessman and his family will welcome guests before performances of holiday music from an array of groups, including the Bobcat Brass Trio, Spirit of the West drumline, Montanans, and Champ’s Children’s Choir, a group featuring children from the MSU Child Development Center and ASMSU daycare on campus.

Each year’s event is promoted with a festive illustration created by an MSU student. This year’s poster was designed by Izzi Rukavina, a junior studying graphic design.
The tradition of lighting Montana Hall began in 2015 and aims to bring together people from the MSU and wider Gallatin Valley communities, according to Tessman. People of all ages are encouraged to attend.
“I cannot wait to share the warmth of the Montana State University family with community members and future Bobcats from around the Gallatin Valley,” said Tessman. “It is an honor to be part of this community and celebrate the amazing artists and musicians on our campus. I’m excited to share this special event with both my family and yours.”
Free parking will be available on campus in all non-reserved spaces after 4:30pm, including the top level of the parking garage. A map of parking lots is online at www.montana.edu/campusmap/#!/. •
