With two performances set for August 22nd and 23rd, Raison D’être Dance Project will present a visual and musical experience unleashed at Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre. “METAL + MOZART” will begin at 7pm on Saturday, followed by a Sunday matinee at 3pm.
Raison D’être reveals the company’s third major production blending classical and contemporary music and movement. A concept in three acts, the performance brings dancers, choreographers, classical musicians and local metal band Galvanist together to create a mind-bending, unbounded journey of original composition and choreography.
Similar in scope to VIVALDI + RANGES in 2018 and RACHMANINOV + PLUTONIA in 2022, METAL + MOZART reveals the limitless collaborative vision of Raison D’être Dance Project, and brings the audience along on an unforgettable and immersive explosion of style, sound and movement.

Founded nearly a decade ago by Erin Levy and Genevieve Trygstad-Burke, Raison D’être fosters collaboration with artists, musicians, choreographers, and philanthropic organizations while providing an avenue for visions and ideas. The project is not limited to performance and offers a number of courses for local dancers to express their creativity and hone their craft.
