Calling all cinephiles! Join the highly intelligent and (mostly) friendly staff of Movie Lovers for its Reach for the Stars Oscars Watch Party on Sunday, February 9th. The benefit for Reach Inc. begins at 5:30pm.
The evening starts with a rousing round of Oscars trivia. Register a team of three and test your knowledge of Academy Awards history. A $10 registration fee will be donated to Reach. There will be prizes for all contestants and a grand prize for the winner! Participants are welcome to rope in a staff member to give their team an edge. No fair! But really, imagine the glory when your team triumphs over the esteemed movie store clerk.
Movie Lovers will offer complimentary food and beverages from Bridger Brewing, Cosmic Pizza and Cupcake Mountain Cupcakery throughout the event. Purchase an arm-length or two of raffle tickets for a chance at door prizes from local businesses including Bozeman Film Society, Cactus Records, Erotique, Cupcake Mountain and more.
Be sure to stop by the store and purchase in advance of the event to pick up your sample ballot. Return filled-out for a shot at the grand prize for closest ballot. Ballots must be returned by 6pm on Feb. 9th.
Movie Lovers is Bozeman’s local, independent video rental store since 1984. The shop provides an eclectic and extensive collection of curated films for the discerning cinephile. Browse the vast collection of physical media from every genre and allow staff members to help find hidden gems from film history.
Reach Inc is a local nonprofit that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities. Their mission is to empower those they serve to attain individual goals and aspirations.
