Mountain Air Dance will present Lifted: Migrations on Saturday, March 1st, at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. Enjoy roving stories of migration told through aerial and modern dance with the 6pm performance.
In this one-of-a-kind show, you’ll be invited to shift your perspective by migrating to new locations in the room for each dance, experiencing the performance from a fresh viewpoint.
Lifted: Migrations will challenge your perception of dance, offering powerful visual stories that weave together strength, grace, and even humor.
Explore the ways in which people, animals, weather and ideas move, change and migrate. Where has your own migration – whether physical, emotional or mental – taken you? What patterns and images emerge from these journeys?
New works presented by Sara Mannheimer and Mariah Palmer, BodiGram, Raison d’etre Dance Company and the Mountain Air Dance Youth Performance Company & Instructors.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience dance in an entirely new way.
Please note: there will be only one extended performance of Lifted: Migrations beginning at 6pm.
Tickets are $25 in advance via Eventbrite, or at the door as availability allows. Proceeds support the choreographers and contemporary dancers of Bozeman. Learn more about the company at www.mountainairdance.org. •
