Bozeman’s Museum of the Rockies is once again offering its educational and visually stunning Season of Light in the Taylor Planetarium as 2025 draws to a close.
From Yule logs to Christmas trees and luminaries to Santa Claus, the winter solstice is a time for celebrating the light. Take part in a journey through the many holiday traditions that have been passed down through the centuries and learn how they’ve helped to make the winter season more festive.
Season of Light shows Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1pm and 3pm through December 31st. These screenings are included with Museum admission or membership.

Again this year, MOR will host special “Homestead Holiday” events in enhancement of limited, after hours Season of Light viewings on Friday and Saturday, December 12th and 13th. Both begin at 6pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5-17 and free for younger children.
Celebrate the winter holiday season at the enchanting Tinsley House. Immerse yourself in the festive spirit with a dazzling seasonal show in the Taylor Planetarium, craft your own Victorian-inspired holiday card, and revel in the joyous melodies of classic Christmas carolers. Warm up with delectable seasonal treats and embrace the magic of the holidays in this beautifully historic setting.
Also on display at MOR is exhibit Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall. Included with Museum admission or membership. The exhibit will be on view through Jan. 18th. And coming in the new year – FROGS: A Chorus of Colors opens Feb. 6th. Stay tuned for details.
