From Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP)
Looking for something fun and educational to do with the whole family during Christmas break? Take a trip to Montana WILD in the capitol city of Helena and see live raptors up close each day from 9–11am, work on a wildlife quiz, participate in an animal scavenger hunt, explore wildlife exhibits, and watch a live sturgeon swim around. Montana WILD will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but will be open December 26th–28th.
Montana WILD will also be presenting one special program from 2–3pm each of these days. The programs will be:
– Live Raptor Program on Wednesday, Dec. 26th
Learn about raptors with a fun, interactive program during which participants will meet live owls, hawks and falcons.
– Mountain Man Program on Thursday, Dec. 27th
An authentic mountain man will lead a program filled with historical tools, furs, stories and other exciting artifacts.
– Glacier’s Wildlife in Winter on Friday, Dec. 28th
A long-time Glacier National Park interpretive ranger will lead a program about what wildlife does after all the summer visitors leave and the party is over.
The Montana WILD Education Center is located at 2668 Broadwater Ave. in Helena. For more information about any of these programs, contact Montana WILD at (406) 444-9944.
