Holiday cheer abounds on Montana PBS, which will broadcast Montana State University’s Noël! concert at 8pm Tuesday, December 23rd, and at 7pm Wednesday, Dec. 24th.
The MSU Symphony Orchestra and three student choirs from MSU’s School of Music – the Montanans, University Chorale and Voces Luminis – join faculty conductors Kirk Aamot, Lukas Graf and Tobin Stewart in performing wintertime music from around the world. Montana PBS recorded the concert on Dec. 5 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in downtown Bozeman.
Viewers can tune into the concert via Montana PBS broadcast channels or watch.montanapbs.org/livestream/. The concert is also available to watch on-demand, including from out-of-state locations, with the PBS app and at watch.montanapbs.org/show/noel-concert/.

“This was the first-ever production of this concert by Montana PBS,” said Paul Heitt-Rennie, Montana PBS director of programming and the concert’s co-producer.
“Seventy-five percent of the TV production, lighting and sound crew are current or former MSU students. It’s a remarkable testament to the skill and talent developed by this university,” added Scott Sterling, Montana PBS director of production and the concert’s co-producer and director.
For 40 years, Montana PBS has connected the people of Montana to the land they call home – and to each other – by highlighting their shared stories and fostering a spirit of community. The statewide network now broadcasts five channels to more than 275,000 Montanans each week. •
