Montana artists & artisans unveil wares at summer SLAM fest
The wait is over! The Summer SLAM Fest has returned to showcase the work of local artists during Bozeman’s favorite arts-dedicated weekend. It will be held one day only, Saturday, August 7th, from 11am–7pm at three different locations: Bogert Park, Story Mansion Park and the Emerson Center lawn.
The 2021 festival is proceeding in a modified form, but will be Bozeman’s go-to event to witness what our local artists produced during and after a year-plus of isolation. And as it has in years past, this year’s fest will feature artist demonstrations, culinary artisans, and craft libations.
The dozens of artists representing themselves at SLAM range from emerging talent to renowned award-winning professional artists. Those who specialize in painting, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, glass, woodworking, textiles, photography, body products, and mixed media will be offering their work for sale during the festival.
One of the unique aspects of the SLAM festival is its spirit of inclusion and community. Free to attend, the Summer festival is open to everyone to come and enjoy and connect with the creative people of our great state.
Please note: typically a trademark of the summer festival, a series of live music and other performances are being planned for alternate dates in the late summer and early fall.
The 2021 Summer SLAM Festival is the perfect place to celebrate the Arts in Montana. There’s something for everyone! Hours are 11am–7pm on August 7th at Bogert Park, Story Mansion Park and the Emerson lawn. Make a plan to support local artists and musicians at SLAM!
