The Bozeman Bike Kitchen is offering educational biking classes every Monday night in April! No registration needed, just show up and you’ll be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis. The BBK will cover a variety of topics to satisfy all your cyclo-curiosity.
Introduction to Bicycle Maintenance will kick off Monday, April 18th from 6-7pm. Join in for an evening of introductory bicycle maintenance lessons taught by a professional mechanic as you learn how to get your bicycles cleaned up and ready for the first rides of the season. You’ll also learn how to be prepared for common mechanical problems encountered on the road. This event is BYOB (Bring your own bike). Bike Touring Basics will close out the month Monday, April 25th from 6-7pm. Want to see the world from your bicycle? Don’t know where to start? You’ll talk gear, logistics, and route planning for multi-day tours with an emphasis on paved road touring. Stay tuned to the BBK’s Facebook page as they schedule into May and beyond.
A $5 donation is requested for each class, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Feel free to send any questions to tony@bozemanbikekitchen.org. Bozeman Bike Kitchen is a cooperative cycling center dedicated to making the use of bicycles as transportation and fun possible for all members of the Bozeman community. They need volunteers of all ages and abilities to help refurbish bikes.
BBK is located at 2104 Industrial Avenue. For a map and more information about the organization, as well as how to donate to the 501c3 non-profit, please visit our website at bozemanbikekitchen.org/. Keep rolling! •
