The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts is proud to present the return of One Love Livingston on Saturday, July 25th, underneath the Henry E. Blake Pavilion. Enjoy an evening of music, unity and cultural celebration with a world music concert dedicated to promoting harmony through the arts. The event begins at 6pm.
Featuring performances by Off in the Woods and internationally acclaimed reggae artist Mighty Mystic & the Hard Roots Movement, this event brings together diverse musical styles for one unforgettable night under the Montana sky.
Off in the Woods is a seven piece Montana band that plays all original music along the stylings of soul, funk, reggae and open-tuned acoustic songs with a full horn section, drums, bass, guitar, Hammond organ and aux-percussion/synth. The established group plays with numerous touring including George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Clinton Fearon & the Boogie Brown Band, Don Carlos & the Congos, Rusted Root, The English Beats, John Brown’s Body, The Polyrhythmics and Pato Banton.
Born in Jamaica and now touring worldwide, Mighty Mystic is known for blending authentic reggae roots with rock influences, soaring guitar work, powerful messages and infectious rhythms. His dynamic live performances have earned him a devoted international following and make this a rare concert experience for our region. His brand of “hard roots” with his high energy stage performance has been a magnet for the young enthusiastic reggae fan base. He has managed to hold firm to his Jamaican roots while adding elements of hip-hop and rock, giving Mystic a more unique sound. He has shared the stage with Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Damian Marley, Buju Banton, Stephen Marley, Shaggy, SOJA, Collie Buddz, Sean Paul, Lee Scratch Perry, Barrington Levy, The Wailers, John Brownʼs Body, Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Capleton, Badfish, the Dirty Heads and more.
“Last year’s inaugural One Love Livingston was an absolute blast, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Mighty Mystic back to Livingston,” says Executive Director Erika Adams. “It’s incredibly special to be able to bring artists of this caliber to our community and create an experience that feels both world-class and uniquely Livingston. Mighty Mystic had the entire Blake Pavilion dancing last year, and with Off in the Woods joining the lineup, this promises to be an unforgettable night. You won’t want to miss this one!”
Come hungry and ready to dance! Local favorites Hot Dog Champion and Pizza Madre will be serving delicious food throughout the evening, while local beer and wine will be available from the Shane Center’s State Farm Concessions Caboose. No outside food or beverages, please.
