Presenting the next in its 2026 performance series, Montana Chamber Music Society will showcase The Volterra Project on Saturday, March 7th. The concert will be held at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. Music begins at 7:30pm.
Hailing from Brussels, this dynamic contemporary ensemble is known for its adventurous programming and expressive precision. Drawing inspiration from European impressionism, Mediterranean folk melodies, and cinematic scores, the trio crafts performances that are both atmospheric and deeply evocative. Blending classical tradition with modern innovation, they explore a wide-ranging repertoire that moves fluidly between established masterworks and compelling new compositions. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and musical dialogue, the group delivers performances marked by technical excellence, emotional depth, and a vibrant sense of connection.

The guitar trio features Antigoni Goni, Maarten Vandenbemden and Eleonora Perretta. Antigoni returns to the Montana Chamber Music stage with her fellow musicians after a successful visit with the Ahn Trio in 2024.
The project’s regional tour will include “An Intimate Evening” at Bozeman’s Old Main Gallery on March 5th at 6:30pm and rural concerts at Whitehall’s Star Theatre, the Ringling Mansion in White Sulphur Springs, Big Timber’s Two Rivers Gallery and Isdell Mercantile in Pony. Find ticketing information for these performances through the host website.
Admission to all regular Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
