Cool off with a splendid evening of classical staples this month. The Montana Chamber Music Society celebrates its annual Montana Chamber Music Festival with local performances on July 14th and 18th. The Tuesday performance will be held at Belgrade’s Peace Lutheran Church, followed by a Saturday program at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. Both performances begin at 7pm.
This year’s program will feature selections from Serge Koussevitzky, Florence Price, Antonin Dvorák and Franz Schubert. Performers include Angella Ahn (violin), Peter Zazofsky (violin), David Harding (viola), Sara Stalnaker (cello), Zachary Cohen (bass) and Jean Schneider (piano).

The festival includes additional performances at 4pm on July 12th at Anaconda’s St. Timothy’s Memorial Chapel, followed by a 7pm performance at the American Prairie National Discovery Center in Lewistown, as well as a July 16th show at Great Falls’ History Museum. Visit the MCMS website for additional details and ticketing access.
Admission to all Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
