March for climate change at Dowtown Bozeman procession
Sunrise Movement’s Gallatin County chapter and the Montana Sierra Club have joined forces to present the Gallatin Valley Climate Strike, March & Rally on Friday, September 20th. The public is invited to meet at Cooper Park, located off 8th and Koch, at 1pm. Marching will begin at 1:30pm, heading down Main Street and ending at Bogert Park for inspirational speakers, music, dancing, and fun.
School strikers are calling on everyone: young people, parents, workers, and all concerned citizens to join massive climate strikes and a week of actions starting on Sept. 20th. People all over the world will use their power to stop “business as usual” in the face of the climate emergency. Local event-goers will join young people in the streets to demand an end to the age of fossil fuels and emergency action to avoid climate breakdown.
Sunrise is building an army of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and well-being of all people. Learn more at www.sunrisemovement.org.
The Montana Sierra Club is a powerful collective of local citizens working together to protect our air, land, water and wildlife, advance climate solutions, act for justice, and get outdoors to explore and learn. Since 1983, Montana Chapter volunteers have promoted policies and local campaigns to address some of the most pressing environmental issues. Learn more at http://montana.sierraclub.org. •
