Shop Local. Support Creatives. Strengthen Community.
The highly anticipated Bozeman Spring MADE fair is set to return to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday, May 2nd–3rd, showcasing a curated collection of over 195 local and regional artisans, non-profits and emerging makers. From functional, affordable goods to heirloom-quality art, there’s something for everyone – and plenty of space to shop in comfort.
But the MADE fair is more than a shopping event. It’s a celebration of community and creativity. This year, more than ever, supporting local makers matters. With ongoing economic uncertainty, rising costs, and increased challenges for small businesses, every purchase is a powerful investment in Montana’s creative economy. When you shop at the MADE fair, you’re not just buying a product – you’re helping an artist pay their rent, fund their next project, and continue doing what they love. It’s about keeping dollars in the local economy and celebrating the ingenuity and resilience of our community.
“In times like these, we’re reminded how vital small businesses and makers are to the health of our economy and the spirit of our communities,” says Carol Lynn Lapotka, founder of handMADE Montana. “These fairs aren’t just shopping events – they’re acts of resilience, connection, and local empowerment.”
Kick off the weekend with Friday’s VIP Preview Night from 5–8pm. A $10 VIP pass offers early access to the fair’s one-of-a-kind, handmade goods, with proceeds benefiting the Bozeman Friends of Music, which supports music programs for local students. Passes can be purchased online or at the door, but are available in limited quantities.
Saturday begins with a $5 Early Bird Pass from 9–10am, followed by free general admission from 10am to 4pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to support the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.
Special thanks to Montana artist Mimi Matsuda for this year’s vibrant promotional illustration. Visitors can preview participating artists online and look for the “NEW” sticker to discover first-time MADE fair participants.
