Lunchtime concert series returns to Emerson lawn
Join your friends and neighbors for a summer favorite returning to the Emerson this month. Lunch on the Lawn will unfold every Wednesday from 11:30am–1:30pm, July 6th through August 10th.
A long-missed Bozeman tradition, this free community event features live music, local food vendors, and children’s activities. Entertain the kids while enjoying music and mingling with other parents. Or, get away from your desk and soak up some sunshine on the Emerson’s west lawn. Here’s a look at the upcoming music lineup.
Bluegrassers Honey & Rye kicks things off on July 6th. The Bozeman trio offers a unique twist on both modern Americana and traditional bluegrass tunes. Comprised of lush vocal harmonies paired with fiddle, bass and guitar, these musicians will keep your boots stomping and your ears listening.
Following July 13th is the bossa nova of Estival. The trio was inspired into creation by a previous cultural music collaboration, Montana-Havana Bridge Project. Bossa nova is a soul-filling genre that blends lively samba music with the sounds of smooth jazz.
Take in an afternoon of acoustic classic rock with Dream Betters on July 20th. This fresh duo, self-described as “acoustic chill,” musically spans the decades with a reimagining of crowd-favorite songs.
Later this month, Grateful Dead tribute Trio Grandio perform July 27th. Legendary musicians Jesse Atkins, Luke Flansburg and Rich Rabisco bring Bozeman audiences a unique acoustic style of the Grateful Dead’s eclectic rock music.
Future Lunch on the Lawn performers include the country rock of Little Jane & the Pistol Whips on August 3rd, followed by Megan Makeever & Friends closing out the series with an afternoon of folk-based tunes on Aug. 10th.
Food vendors will include Mo Bowls, Starseed and Tropical Sno at each event for those who don’t feel like packing a lunch. Delish! All events are free and open to the public.
