Featuring an incredible lineup of local and touring acts all season long, Pine Creek Lodge’s summer concert series continues on its outdoor stage at the Paradise Valley venue. Here’s a closer look at who’s performing this month.
Experience an evening of Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country on August 8th.
The frontman calls it Cosmic Country, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang, a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft. Bridging Nashville and the Great West, Kentucky and mid-60s northern California, tie-dye and plaid, it’s a world of his own, and wide world of musical adventure at that. The band comes to Southwest Montana ahead of Donato’s new album release, Horizons.
Plurb and Street Milk open for STiLGONE on Aug. 9th.
The band plays a unique fusion of genres, spanning funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, psychedelic rock and more. While covering so many styles they manage to create a cohesive sound that is uniquely their own, one they have dubbed “intergalactic dirtbag soul.” Their live shows are an immersive trip through detailed soundscapes, danceable grooves and the lyrics of songwriter and guitarist Symon Palmer. Their new album, B.O.L.O., is available now.
Aug. 10th sees a performance by industry veterans G. Love & Special Sauce.
Creators of their own genre, “The Hip-Hop Blues,” the project is known for its unique and laid back, rootsy sound that encompasses Delta blues, hip-hop, rock n’ roll, soul and funk. With energetic live performances, they perform following a trio of 2025 releases including Front Porch Loungin’, G. Love Has Gone Country and G. Love in the King’s Court.
SUSTO follows an opening set by WC Huntley on Aug. 13th.
The band’s latest release, My Entire Life, is a compelling blend of rock, folk and psychedelia, with vivid country-esque storytelling. It’s as raw and real as anything they’ve done so far and everything you’d hope for from a modern rock n’ roll record. The album documents frontman Justin Osborne’s personal journey through highs and lows in his life, with many of the details on full display.
Whitmore Sisters warm up the crowd for The Wallflowers on Aug. 17th.
For the past 30 years, the band has stood as one of rock’s most dynamic and purposeful acts – a unit dedicated to and continually honing a sound that meshes timeless songwriting and storytelling with a hard-hitting and decidedly modern musical attack. That signature style has been present through the decades of their popular releases. Their latest, Exit Wounds, finds the band’s signature sound – lean, potent and eminently entrancing – intact.
Enjoy an album release show by Quenby on Aug. 20th with openers Abby Larea and Lone Elder.
Writing and performing since the early aughts, Quenby Iandiorio is a classic country and roots musician from Paradise Valley. Attendees are in for a night of groovy Americana courtesy of one of the area’s most lauded veteran musicians and her band of talented players. The show doubles as an album release for her new eponymous LP, available now.
The Creekside Revival Music Festival returns Aug. 22nd–24th. Get ready for three days of jammin’ by the creek with 20 bands from across the country. Festival begins at 5pm on Friday, and noon on Saturday and Sunday. Single night and three-day passes available for purchase.
Set to perform are: Andy Dunnigan (Missoula), Armchair Boogie (Madison, WI), Blue Point (Missoula), Buffalo Galaxy (Minneapolis), Front Porch (Eureka Springs, AR), High Country Hustle (Durango, CO), honeyholler (Bozeman), Jack Cloonan (Chicago), Jake Simpson (Wyandotte, OK), John Mailander (Nashville), Kyle Tuttle (Cumming, GA), LowDown Brass Band (Chicago), Matt Wallin (Bozeman), Max Davies (Crystal Lake, IL), North Fork Crossing (Bozeman), The Pickpockets (Salt Lake City), Pixie & the Partygrass Boys (Salt Lake City), Scott Stewart (Crested Butte, CO), Silas Herman (Nederland, CO), Three on the Tree (Charlotte, NC) and Wes Urbaniak (Billings).
49 Winchester performs Aug. 26th with help from Marfa.
Since its formation, the band has fiercely retained this inner resolve to transcend one’s lot in life with a reckless abandon that’s led to widespread acclaim and fandom in the country, Americana and rock realms. 49 Winchester has been selling out storied venues across America, including a wildly successful Canadian run alongside Corb Lund. Their latest release, Leavin’ this Holler, is available now.
The Dead & Down get the music started for Matisyahu on Aug. 27th.
Buoyed by hits like “King Without a Crown,” albums like the Grammy-nominated Youth, and hit “One Day,” he’s toured extensively with a high-energy stage show that has since grown to include more improvisation. All the while his music has expanded into a shapeshifting collision of reggae, hip-hop, alt rock and boldly inventive pop. Today, he continues to be inspired by evolving musical trends, finding linkages and loops between eras and genres. His latest EP, Hold the Fire, finds him reflecting on celebrity and artistic success.
Closing the month are The Disco Biscuits with a three-night run Aug. 29th–31st.
An entirely different band than they were when first breaking out of Philadelphia in the mid-90s, The Disco Biscuits are still very much the pioneers of “trancefusion,” bridging the gap between electronic music and jam bands. They’re rock pioneers whose soul belongs as much to marathon dance parties as it does to live improvisational journeys. The band employs emerging technologies to help them create music that is 100 percent human although, perhaps, not entirely of this earth. Their latest album, Revolution in Motion, is available now.
Looking ahead, the summer series concludes next month with a number of additional shows. Performing next are the Kitchen Dwellers Sept. 4th–7th, Hot Tuna Sept. 14th, Everclear with openers Local H & Sponge Sept. 17th, Umphrey’s McGee Sept. 19th–20th and Dan Tyminski on Sept. 21st. Stay tuned for details.
All shows begin at 7pm, unless otherwise noted, with numerous free performances from the Beer Garden stage. Visit www.pinecreeklodgemontana.com for additional details, ticketing access and to learn more about the upcoming summer sets. •
