Local musicians strum & sing with midweek Eagles sets
Segue into the weekend early with a happy hour pint and some instrumentals at Bozeman’s Eagles Bar. The downtown tavern continues to host “Acoustic Wednesdays” this summer, a space for local musicians and visiting tunesmiths to showcase their talents. FOE also hosts special weekend shows including a Sunday residency with the Bridger Mountain Big Band.
Jessica Hegg kicks things off with a solo set on July 6th. She plays older rock and country in the style of Stevie Nicks along with heartfelt originals.
Singer/songwriter Russ Chapman follows on July 13th. Chapman brings a strong sense of wit and a weak sense of sentimentality to nearly every song he writes. Chapman will only sing a love song if it involves his deep affection for metaphor. Be prepared for a memorable evening of words and music.
Get ready for a weekend of rock n’ roll with two local projects on July 15th and 16th. Friday will see a performance by Green’s Guitars and Scavenger on Saturday. The riff-heavy nights will give local audiences the opportunity of a fantastic rock show right here in Downtown Bozeman. Music starts at 9pm both nights.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally performs July 20th. From Reed Point, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals.
Luke Flansburg closes the month with a solo show on July 27th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
On Saturday nights, get ready to hit the dance floor with a Live DJ. The venue offers plenty of room to bust out the best moves, whether you’ve got a partner in crime or are braving it alone.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Check them out on Facebook for performance announcements.
Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop in to support your local Eagles any night of the week. •
