Local Guitar luminary Stuart Weber will be joined on stage by the young guitar talent Gerardo Zarate Terrazas from Mexico, and New York flutist Morgan Pappas for a lively evening of guitar solos, duets and trios on Tuesday, April 5th at The Ellen Theatre. In addition to works by Piazzola, Pujol, and Rodrigo, Weber will present a set of original guitar duets from his youth which have not been performed in nearly four decades.
Morgan Pappas, a rising star in the N.Y. Metropolitan music scene, has appeared on stage at Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Symphony Space. Gerardo Zarate Terrazas began his guitar studies with the Conservatory of Music in Puebla, Mexico at age 13, and now performs in several festival orchestras throughout Mexico and Europe.
