The Livingston Film Series is delighted to present a FREE screening of student films from the MSU School of Film & Photography at 7pm on Sunday, June 10th at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts.
It’s the final screening of the season, and the best has been saved for last! This will be a special evening of films written, produced, and edited by students of the MSU School of Film’s Masters, Grad, and undergrad programs.
For more than 50 years, the Montana State University School of Film & Photography has prepared students to become professionally trained creative artists. Combining technical skills, history, and theory, these young filmmakers focus on storytelling and documentaries. Provided with the a solid foundation in writing, cinematography, editing, directing, lighting, and sound, MSU film students have gone on to win three Oscars, numerous Emmys, and have worked on major productions like: The Walking Dead, Dexter, Star Wars and many others the world over.
Culled from hundreds of student projects, these productions represent some of MSU’s finest creative cinematic offerings. Event organizers hope you enjoy seeing the films as much as they did during the selection process. And, in celebration of another great season of the Livingston Film Series, a burger and brat bbq will be hosted as part of the reception!
Now wrapping up its third season, the Livingston Film Series presents a wide variety of independent features, documentaries, local films, and special screenings in the Shane Center’s Dulcie Theatre. A reception precedes each film at 6:30pm. Admission is always free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
The Livingston Film Series is generously sponsored by Marilyn Clotz, Mary Ann Bearden, and Donald B. Gimbel.
