Montana-born Chloe Gendrow showcases her music on March 15th. She comes to the Live stage ahead of the spring release of a new EP recorded with producer Nick Anthony. After spending time in Alaska, Gendrow has been deeply influenced by the state’s rugged isolation and the heavy Americana/bluegrass scene that thrives there. Singles “Smoke Break” and “Wired Differently” showcase a musical evolution – rich in melancholy and charged with the kind of stark beauty that only remote landscapes can inspire.

Country musician Bob Sumner fronts a March 27th show. The singer/songwriter cites the musically progressive sensibilities of his heroes when talking about the spirit of his new album, Some Place to Rest Easy. The album takes as much inspiration from the audio production of Randy Travis as it does the lyrical soul of Big Thief’s Adrianne Lenker – a melding of eras, sounds, concepts and stylings that’s informed by the past, but never bound by it. The album balances the stirring lyrical depth fans have come to expect with a more buoyant, lively feel.
Closing out another month of performances on March 28th is Satsang. The dynamic musical ensemble weaves together elements of folk, soul and conscious lyrics to create a captivating sonic experience.
