Late night Eagles music aids back to school grind
Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar is serving up a cocktail of acoustics and big band sound as fall creeps in. FOE also hosts weekend sets and the long-missed Sunday residency of the Bridger Mountain Big Band.
Daniel Kosel performs with his band on Sept. 10th and 11th. His poetry, soulful vocals and guitar work make a delightful listening experience best described as “Crues Music,” a self-styled blend of country, rock and blues.
Luke Flansburg entertains Sept. 15th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Close 2 Toast takes the stage Sept. 17th and 18th. Formed from all the right elements found within the Gallatin Valley comes a band like no other, with songs to warm your heart, make you cry and dance.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally shows off her stuff on Sept. 22nd. Visiting from Reed Point, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals.
Country rockers BlueBelly Junction will bring the noise Sept. 24th and 25th. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers.
Jessica Hegg closes out the month on Sept. 29th. She plays older rock and country in the style of Stevie Nicks along with heartfelt originals.
There’s no better Thirsty Thursday than one with Living the Dream Karaoke, setting up at FOE weekly. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Bridger Mountain Big Band is back! The ensemble performs regularly at 7pm on Sunday evenings. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm, unless otherwise noted. Head downtown for some great live music or stop in for a cold one and support our local haunts. •
