Stage entertainment comes to Big Sky’s Warren Miller Performing Arts Center this month when Bozeman’s Last Best Comedy takes over the mountainside space with a trio of shows and workshop events in July. Events are set for Tuesday evenings, July 11th, 18th and 25th, beginning at 5:30pm each night. Tickets range $25–$40.
The three-part series kicks off on July 11th with the Whiz Bang Improv Troupe. After the hour-long workshop, both Whiz Bang and celebrity magician/illusionist (and Montana native) Handsome Jack will perform.
The series continues on July 18th with WINGING IT, an introductory improvisation workshop. Following the hour-long workshop, the evening will continue with the Treasure State Showcase.
Last Best Comedy’s residency concludes on July 25th with founders Annie and Levin in their ultra-popular comedy workshop NOW! After the hour-long workshop, the evening will continue with internationally renowned and EMMY-award winning stand-up comedian Rich Hall.
Ticket holders for these workshops and/or performances include access to a taco bar dinner prepared by award-winning local chef Lindsie Feldner. BYWOM will be onsite with a cash bar.
The workshops begin at 5:30pm and run for one hour, followed by a half hour break for dinner and seating. The comedy performances run from 7pm to approximately 8pm. The improv workshops are open to participants of all ages, but the comedy performances are 15+. Each workshop will have the same guidelines but entirely different content, so people can participate in all three without repeating material. Workshops are capped at 12 people, so be sure to register early.
The cost is $25 for the workshop and dinner, $25 for dinner and the performance, or $40 for the complete evening of the workshop, dinner and show.
