Landscape oil painter opens Livingston art walks at Green Door
Green Door Gallery will host the work of Malou Flato this summer. “Small Oil Paintings” will open with an artist’s reception from 5–8pm during the first Livingston Art Walk on Friday, June 25th. It will remain on display through August at the downtown space.
Malou and her husband divide the year between Texas and Paradise Valley. She is a landscape painter and he, a writer. She paints the natural forms around Livingston as well as those she encounters in her travels. The small oil paintings in this exhibit represent, mostly, the landscape of Paradise Valley.
“For me, the great thing about being an artist is the feeling that I have yet to complete my best painting. Everything I make is still very fresh. My work includes watercolors, oils, acrylics, tile murals, etchings, sculpture, and digital prints. I am always looking for the next frontier.” – Malou Flato
