Jazz master Wycliffe Gordon
Internationally acclaimed jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon will be performing with the Bozeman High Jazz Ensemble I in their 8th Annual Guest Artist Series concert. Gordon has been named the Downbeat Magazine “Trombone Player of the Year” three consecutive years, was awarded the 2015 ASCAP Plus Award, is a member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet and was the Downbeat Magazine Cover Artist of October 2014. The Guest Artist Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 17th, at the Willson Auditorium at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 with open seating, and will be sold at the door. The concert will also feature the BHS Jazz Choir and Jazz Ensemble II. As part of the series, Wycliffe Gordon will be presenting a free jazz clinic, open to the public, on Monday, May 16th, at 6:30pm in the high school band room. •
