Hopa Mountain and Country Bookshelf are hosting their annual Children’s Book Drive through January 5th, 2019. The regional nonprofit and local bookseller are now collecting new and gently used children’s books to be given to children who lack quality titles at home.
“Having age-appropriate children’s books at home creates a strong early learning environment that supports children’s development,” said Bonnie Sachatello-Sawyer, Hopa Mountain’s Executive Director. “When families read together, children’s vocabulary, communication skills, and self-confidence get a boost too.”
In order to give children across Montana access to high-quality reading materials this holiday season, you can purchase or drop off books at Country Bookshelf on Main Street in Downtown Bozeman, the Hopa Mountain offices found at 234 E Babcock, or call (406) 586-2455 to arrange for the books to be picked up by Hopa Mountain staff.
Hopa Mountain invests in citizen leaders who are working to improve education, ecological health, and economic development in their home towns. Learn more about the nonprofit’s initiatives by visiting www.hopamountain.org.
