Bozeman’s own Thrive and the Parent Place will again sponsor Gym Days! this fall in Bozeman and Belgrade. Gym Day is designed for parents and toddlers to have a place to go, socialize, and actively play on cold Montana winter days! The Parent Place provides plenty of riding toys, tunnels, and balls for the kids to play with! The Bozeman and Belgrade school districts each generously provide a space use one hour a week during the school year. Wednesdays, starting October 5th, the Belgrade Gym Days will be held from 11am–12pm at the Heck/Quaw Cafeteria located on 308 N Broadway. Thursdays, starting October 6th, the Bozeman Gym Days will be held from 10–11am at the Willson School Gym, located on 404 W Main Street. Call (406) 922-4243 for more information.
Thrive is a community-based organization established in 1986. At the heart of Thrive lies a preventative, strength-based, empowerment model of working with parents and children. They provide families with the resources, tools, and support to raise healthy, successful children. Their programs have been developed using evidence-based practices, adapted to meet local community needs, and rigorously evaluated to ensure program efficacy. Thrive has developed critical community partnerships built on sharing design, implementation, management, evaluation, financial resources, and responsibilities for programs. This approach, which has the success of the child at its center, results in the highest quality services, maximizes scarce resources, and has a powerful impact on outcomes for children.
