Montana State University will celebrate its 10th annual Gold Rush football game Saturday, Sept. 10, at Bobcat Stadium. Gold Rush – which is the annual Bobcat football home opener – kicks off at 2:05 p.m. versus Bryant.
“Bobcat fans have stepped up and embraced the Gold Rush tradition,” said Julie Kipfer, MSU director of marketing. “When the Bobcats run onto the field and the entire stadium is filled with gold, it really fires up the team.”
Gold Rush began 10 years ago to set the stage for a successful season and encourage fans to display their Bobcat spirit, Kipfer said. Each year the university launches a new theme and T-shirt design that features the full season football schedule on the back of the shirt.
“The 10th anniversary Gold Rush game will bring an increased level of excitement to Bobcat Stadium,” said Leon Costello, athletic director. “I’ve been so impressed by our fans and the level of support across Montana. I look forward to experiencing the Gold Rush tradition.”
Limited edition Gold Rush T-shirts are now available for $12 at Universal Athletic stores in Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula, as well as at the MSU Bookstore and online at www.msubookstore.org.
