The world-renowned touring showcase of contemporary guitar artistry, International Guitar Night, returns to The Ellen Theatre on Wednesday, February 11 at 7:30pm. The event delivers an unforgettable evening of breathtaking musicianship and global musical voices.
In its 26th season, IGN brings together four extraordinary soloists for one night only, each representing a distinct musical tradition and pushing the boundaries of string performance. This year’s dynamic lineup features: Vietnamese classical guitarist Thu Le; rock, flamenco and classical guitarist Lucas Imbiriba from Brazil; Russian modern fingerstlye guitarist Alexandr Misko; and ukulelist Taimane from Hawaii, marking her IGN debut.

Hailed as a modern fingerstyle innovator, Alexandr Misko captivates audiences with explosive percussive techniques and genre-defying compositions. A viral sensation with millions of views online, Misko has released six albums and performed on prestigious stages from Carnegie Hall to major international festivals, continually redefining what the acoustic guitar can do with his custom-built instruments.
For the first time in International Guitar Night history, the ukulele takes center stage with Taimane, an artist who has redefined the instrument’s role in contemporary music. Blending classical virtuosity, rock power, and Polynesian roots, Taimane rose from Waikiki street performances to international acclaim. She has earned four Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and a global fanbase, proving the ukulele’s limitless expressive potential.
Brazilian guitarist Lucas Imbiriba brings fiery intensity and emotional depth to the stage, seamlessly blending flamenco passion, Latin rhythms, classical elegance and rock energy. A multiple classical competition winner, Imbiriba has embraced bold acoustic arrangements that have earned him millions of online views and a devoted worldwide following.
Rounding out the evening is Thu Le, a celebrated Vietnamese classical guitarist known for her refined technique and lyrical expression. A graduate of prestigious European conservatories, Thu Le bridges Eastern and Western musical traditions with a distinctive voice that has earned acclaim on international concert stages.
Together, these four artists create a spellbinding evening of solo performances and collaborative moments, showcasing the guitar and ukulele as truly global instruments.
Founded by guitar impresario Brian Gore, International Guitar Night has brought the world’s finest guitarists to stages across North America for over two decades, celebrating innovation, diversity, and the universal language of music.
