Local youth will front an enchanting musical late this month. Featuring a talented cast of student actors, Gallatin High School Raptors Theatre Company will present A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It will be presented over a trio of performances from April 24th through April 26th. Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 7pm, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday. All will be held in the GHS auditorium.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream brings Shakespeare’s whimsical comedy to life with youthful energy and creativity. Students embrace the play’s enchanted forest, mischievous fairies, and tangled romances, often adding imaginative staging, playful costumes, and modern touches that make the story accessible and engaging for contemporary audiences.
Balancing humor with heartfelt moments, the production highlights the talents and collaboration of young performers, who navigate the play’s poetic language while infusing it with fresh enthusiasm. The result is a charming, lively interpretation that celebrates both the timeless magic of the story and the spirit of student theater.

The play is suitable for all ages. General A Midsummer Night’s Dream admission is $15, $10 for students and $5 for youth, available in advance at bsd7.revtrak.net (click “Drama” > “GHS Drama”). Tickets available at the box office as space allows. •
