Follow Chico soaks with nights of revelry & sonic delight
Summer is the season for in-state road trips and recreational outings as locals flock to the Yellowstone for a float, backpacking in the Absaroka Bearooth, and over to Chico Hot Springs for weekend getaways. With regular live entertainment in the Saloon, you can kick up your heels and soak them, too.
The Blake Brightman Band plays for Saloon-goers July 8th and 9th. The five-piece follows the frontwoman’s lead with an energetic set of hits and originals. The singer/songwriter’s stylings fall somewhere between country western and Mississippi blues, with her own modern spin.
Helena’s CatSkills pop in for a pair of lively performances July 15th and 16th. Listeners and dancers enjoy this diverse trio’s style, playing a wide variety of classic rock, country and more.
Get ready to hit the floor when Triggered take the stage on July 22nd and 23rd. The band performs an array of country and rock tunes. A morning soak will help ease the pain after a night up on your feet.
Another Sunday show comes to Chico on July 24th with Polly O’Keary & the Rhythm Method at 8pm. With her top-shelf trio, the frontwoman performs a mix of soul, funk, blues and rock that has won her top honors as a songwriter, singer and performer. She’s known for her joyous, explosive stage performances, her powerful and expressive voice, and powerful bass grooves.
Savvy is set for July 29th and 30th. The soulful foursome play rock versions of songs from every genre. The band is fronted by Kristen Lundell, a local singer/songwriter and guitarist known for her catchy, melodic rock originals inspired by the likes of Veruca Salt, Juliana Hatfield and The Beatles.
Closing out the month on Sunday, July 31st, the Chris Acker Band performs at 8pm. Enjoy an evening of Nashville country on the eve of summer’s final complete month.
