FOE serves up midweek acoustics & weekend jams downtown
Though most of us are happy for the added snow pack, we’re all itching for sunny weather and warmer evenings. Layer as needed for your next night out to Bozeman’s Eagles Bar, home to weekly acoustics and full-band sounds every Friday and Saturday night. The downtown venue features a full calendar of solo musician sets and multi-piece showcases for all the live music fans out there.
Luke Flansburg opens the month with a solo show on May the 4th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Get ready to hit the dance floor with a Live DJ set on May 6th and 7th. The venue offers plenty of room to bust out the best moves, whether you’ve got a partner in crime or are braving it alone.
Jessica Hegg brings the acoustics on May 11th. She plays older rock and country in the style of Stevie Nicks along with heartfelt originals.
Country rockers BlueBelly Junction return May 13th and 14th. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
Mario Miner Jr. of two-piece rock n’ roll project Gallatin Ghost Train follows with a solo set on May 18th. Expect an evening of blues-skewing tunes and some original songs.
Close 2 Toast are set for May 20th and 21st. Formed from all the right elements found within the Gallatin Valley comes a band like no other, with songs to warm your heart, make you cry and dance.
Neil Filo Beddow strums for the crowd on May 25th. He plays original folk rock for the soul, and describes his guitar style as the “West Dakota stutter.”
Eclectic rockers Daniel Kosel & Madrona Road bring down the house on May 27th and 28th. They’ll bring visceral blues, sweet country and sultry rock with hot, tight grooves audiences can boogie down and shake it on the dance floor to.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night with Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop in to support your local Eagles any night of the week. •
