Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre gets the spooky season off to an eerie start with a night of fright on the silver screen! The 1962 psychological thriller Cape Fear will show at 7:30pm on Friday, October 19th. The film stars Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum as chief adversaries: Sam, a prosecuting attorney, and Max, a convicted criminal. To seek revenge, the felon targets Sam’s loved ones, forcing the lawyer to choose between obeying the law or protecting his family. All seats are $6.
Screening on Wednesday, October 24th is After Auschwitz at 7:30pm. The “post-Holocaust” documentary follows six extraordinary women, capturing what it means to move from tragedy and trauma towards life. These women all moved to Los Angeles, married, raised children, and became “Americans” but they never truly found a place to call home. What makes the story so much more fascinating is how these women saw, interpreted, and interacted with the changing face of America in the second half of the 20th century. They serve as our guides on an unbelievable journey, sometimes celebratory, sometimes heartbreaking but always inspiring. A Q&A with the film’s Director will follow the screening. All seats are $10.50.
