The robust Filling Station calendar features a show for just about everyone, our readers’ pick for ‘Best Live Music Venue’ in last year’s “Best of Bozeman” survey. Their concerts showcase artists from a variety of genres, welcoming diverse audiences to the north Bozeman space with performances held throughout the week.
Check out a concert by Samvega on June 7th with opener Peter King. The band brings an eclectic sound mixing rock, folk and gypsy influences to create an experience that must be seen and felt.
Eccentric Portland-based trio Sweet n’ Juicy take the stage alongside StiLGONE on June 8th. Their music is often compared to Parliament Funkadelic, The Talking Heads and Ween, although they once got Flight of the Conchords and Vulfpeck on the same show. Expect to hear everything from Gershwin to disco.
Sierra Gallagher presents a night of metal on June 10th featuring the sounds of Acalvaria, Pressureknot and Geimreidh. Enjoy the brutal death and thrashy black metal by these ensembles from around the Treasure State.
Pacific Northwest duo True Reckoning perform June 15th with opening support by Tyler Potter and Kat Bee. The coastal dream folk duo tours frequently around the Northwest and have shared billings with acts including Shakey Graves and Rising Appalachia. Listeners praise their ability to blend outlaw country and contemporary indie sounds to create a truly unique performance.
Art & Funk Collective perform with help from Speciation and Storey Blvd on June 16th. The Bozeman art rock band features a cast of musicians with a deep passion for music, jamming and creating unique art. Art & Funk’s sound has a range of stylings, mainly fusing blues and reggae with stoner metal.
Billings-based Quiet Coyote take the stage June 17th with openers Gallatin Ghost Train. The four-piece rock band plays a mix of original music and covers, ranging from The Black Keys to Waylon Jennings.
Minneapolis indie rock band Night Moves comes to Bozeman with a June 21st show opened by Good Doom. The group has quickly made an impression on the indie music circuit, with critic Anthony Atlas writing, “Night Moves is a distinctly original concoction. Their honey-dipped sound seethes with a kind of down-home tenderness – and like the best glittering music – the arrangements are colossal in shape.” The band comes to Bozeman following the release of their latest EP, The Redaction.
Opening a new month on July 1st is a special motorcycle & music show in benefit of Darrell Manning. “Good Times Revival” kicks off with an all-ages motorcycle show from noon–4pm, followed by a ticketed rock showcase beginning at 6pm. The concert will feature sets by System Restore, Göners ÜK, Scavenger, The Love Darts, Gallatin Ghost Train, Death Trophy and The Adolts.
