Alongside its event sponsors, Gallatin Valley Food Bank will once again present Spring for Food on Saturday, April 8th. The donation drive will be set up at grocery stores in Bozeman and Belgrade between the hours of 10am and 3pm.
Locate food bins and receive a wish list from volunteers while shopping, or donate on your way out. Setting a goal of 15,000lbs., food collected during this event will benefit the Food Bank and its child nutrition programs.
Community food and fund drives provide nutritious food and vital operating funds for the Food Bank while raising awareness of hunger issues in our community. They also provide some of the healthiest and highest-quality food the Food Bank receives.
Spring for Food is an opportunity to support a sustainable supply of food during a time when donations are less frequent. In addition, the pandemic significantly impacted intake and donations are needed more than ever.
Volunteers are needed! Invite family and friends to help collect food at a participating grocery store during two-hour shifts. Training will be provided and donated food will be collected by Food Bank personnel. Monetary donations are also gratefully accepted.
