The autumn leaves are falling, but there are still opportunities to enjoy the Southwest Montana outdoors before the first snow. The Livingston Tourism Business Improvement District has announced the inaugural 2nd Street Oktoberfest to be held on Saturday, October 14th from 4–7pm.
Raise a glass and your spirits at this family friendly harvest fest in the heart of Livingston. Enjoy brews, autumn drinks and foods, live music and kids’ activities like pumpkin and face painting, or kick off your holiday shopping at great 2nd Street shops. The event will also feature a cakewalk in benefit of the Livingston Food Resource Center Community Bakery and a scavenger hunt visiting area businesses where participants can fill in a game card to win prizes. Admission is free and there will be fun to be had for all!
During the event, 2nd Street will be closed for the block party from Callender to Lewis. Shops all along 2nd and on the neighboring Callender block will be open late for shopping. The Oktoberfest event is free of admission and all are welcome. Follow the LTBID on social media or visit www.explorelivingstonmt.com for event updates.
The inaugural 2nd Street Oktoberfest is a pilot project held in collaboration with local businesses, sponsored by the Tourism Business Improvement District, whose efforts work to enhance the vitality of Downtown Livingston by facilitating commerce, enhancing streetscapes, conducting maintenance as well as improving security and safety. •
