F-11 announces multi-week Spring Photoshop series
F-11 Photo’s information and experience-rich classes are ripe with opportunities to refine your skills, get a handle on your devices, and interact with knowledgeable instructors. Here’s a look at some of the upcoming courses.
F-11 announces the Spring 2019 Photoshop Class Series with events unfolding through April. Get a handle on the essential tools and techniques inside this industry leading software. Take in each of the practical topics before diving into the next, with plenty of time to ask the instructors questions at each session. Photoshop I – Workflow & File Types kicks things off on Wednesday, March 13th from 6–7pm. Get help finding your best Photoshop workflow. Instructor Becca Tatarka will introduce the overall layout of Photoshop and the first steps of in-depth photo editing, from opening images and working canvases to properly saving your work. Gain an understanding of the different file types Photoshop can create and take home a comfortable working knowledge of the essentials.
Following Wednesday, March 27th, Photoshop II – Layers & Masking will be held from 6–7pm. Expand your photo editing capabilities with Instructor Matt MaCoy. Layer masking is a powerful tool that allows you to have full control of editing your photos without making any permanent changes. It allows you to apply edits to a specific area of an image without editing the entire photo at once. Get comfortable with using Layers and learn the difference between the different types of Layers, including: populated and unpopulated layers, layer masks, adjustment layers, and more. Next, explore how layers interact with each other. Leave with the ability to better work in layers on your own images.
Future courses include Photoshop III – Tools: Brushes on April 3rd, Photoshop IV – Tools: Selections on April 10th, and Photoshop V – Portrait Editing closing the series on April 17th. Also this month, one-off social media class Intro to Instagram is set for Wednesday, March 14th from 6–7pm. Become an Instagram Pro with instructor Brooke Welch. Get up to speed on the world’s most popular social photo app in this hour-long intensive. This class welcomes people wanting to explore Instagram basics and how the app works.
Bring your smart phone or tablet for this hands-on learning experience. Explore Instagram’s creative features. See how to make amazing images, add filters and basic photo edits, then find out how use this platform to get social. Get ready to have fun transforming basic shots into creative images you can’t wait to share. Tickets are $25, or $15 for F-11 VIP members.
