Zine-Making Workshop with Jade Lowder for Banned Books Week

As part of Banned Books Week, Country Bookshelf is excited to welcome local comic artist Jade Lowder on October 7 at 6pm for an all-ages zine-making workshop!
Zines are short, homemade pamphlets that encourage creativity and self-expression. With roots extending all the way back to the dissident pamphlets of the eighteenth century, zines’ role in social and political activism and punk and queer culture makes them especially relevant to efforts to fight censorship and protect intellectual freedom today.
