Reckoning – Artist Open Studio with Raison D’etre Dance Project
June 20 @ 6:30pm
An artist reception and dance performance celebrating the works of Lizzie Salacinski. The art is installed at the RDE studios for dancers to draw inspiration and create choreography that is performed at the reception. The works will be on display and there is a casual performance experience with general admission seating. Performance pieces will feature choreography by Ashley Wolfe, Deann Snyder and Caeleb Heinen. The studio will open at 6:30, and the choreography will be performed 3 times every 45 minutes starting at 7pm.
Lizzie Salacinski is a contemporary fine art photographer from Montana. Their work explores difficult themes of violence, loss, and the processes of trauma healing in order to create a space of shared perspectives and to spark discussion around what are often isolating and deeply damaging experiences. Salacinski’s work has been nationally represented in Montana, Oregon and Kansas, including multiple solo exhibitions at the Exit Gallery in Bozeman MT, and the Danforth Museum of Art in Livingston Montana.
The event will be held at the Raison D’etre Dance Studio in Four Corners, 140 Graves Trl #7B. For tickets and more information, visit the Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artist-open-studio-series-lizzie-salacinski-tickets-1379093639199. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
