Explore how simple computer simulations lead to powerful predictions, from climate and construction to medicine and molecular science, in this interactive MSU After Hours workshop hosted by MSU Academic Technology and Outreach.
This hands-on workshop invites you to consider the power of simulations as tools to explore some of the most important questions of our time. Through live demonstrations, you’ll see how simple mathematical rules can lead to surprisingly realistic predictions. Then, you’ll have a chance to conduct your own hands-on simulation, comparing it to reality to uncover the value and limitations of a model.
This course is designed for curious teenagers and adults; no technical background is required.
