Help us clean up our watershed after the end of a busy recreation season! We have all been enjoying Southwestern Montana’s outdoor spaces this summer. Now, let’s give back! Help us clean up our watershed after the busy recreation season. The Gallatin Watershed Council (GWC) and the Gallatin River Task Force are hosting the eighth annual collaborative Gallatin Watershed Cleanup. Join us in removing trash from the entire Gallatin Watershed, from Yellowstone National Park to the Missouri Headwaters, to keep the water clean for our community and downstream neighbors.
Volunteer: Join the Gallatin Watershed Council at the 2026 Fall Gallatin Watershed Cleanup
When: Saturday, September 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
What you will be doing: Cleanup trash across the Gallatin Watershed as a team leader or a team member or participate on your own time during our DIY cleanup challenge.
Celebrate: A volunteer celebration will immediately follow the cleanup at Lindley Park. The celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m. with announcements and prizes at 5:00 p.m. The celebration will end at 6:30.
