Get to laughing when Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre hosts a one-off show by comedian Ryan Hamilton on Friday, September 20th. Performing in Southwest Montana as part of his national tour, the event begins at 8pm.
Hamilton’s one-hour Netflix stand-up show, Happy Face, has been hailed as “the special you can’t watch enough times.” With a wealth of TV appearances and a non-stop headlining tour, his unique perspective of growing up in rural Idaho has made him a national favorite in the comedy scene. Named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s Five Comics to Watch, recent appearances include multiple visits to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, as well as opening spots for both Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan.
“One of the most reliably funny regulars at the Comedy Cellar, an observational comic who often riffs on the absurdity of his own wholesomeness.” – New York Times
Following on Friday, September 27th, enjoy an evening of modern folk courtesy of Talisk. Show starts at 7:30pm.
Ground-breaking, chart-topping, genre-bending, globetrotting, instantly enthralling… it’s little wonder that Talisk rank highly amongst the most in-demand folk-based groups to emerge from Scotland in the last decade and more. The trio has toured the world, stacking up major awards for their explosively energetic, artfully woven sound, and whose appearances at leading festivals across multiple continents have amassed a die-hard following.
Mohsen Amini (BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Musician of the Year), Graeme Armstrong and Benedict Morris (BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year) fuse concertina, guitar and fiddle to produce a ground-breaking, multi-layered signature that has captivated audiences around the globe. At its core, three seemingly acoustic instruments – but in the hands of three master craftsmen; one unmistakable, bold sound and captivating live show.
Tickets begin at $49.75 for Ryan Hamilton, with all seats $33.75 for Talisk. Wine, beer and concessions will be sold in the lobby one hour before the show.
