The Valley’s annual celebration of summer returns! The Big Sky Country State Fair loads into the Gallatin County Fairgrounds July 16th–20th for another round of food, fun, music, and so much more!
This year’s night shows will feature country music star Chris Janson with opener Ashland Craft, bluegrassers Trampled by Turtles with American Aquarium, and hip-hop artist Ja Rule. Returning again this year, the free stage area will showcase regional talent of all varieties every night.
The Bozeman Roundup Ranch Rodeo is back on Saturday, followed on Sunday by the Barnyard Brawl: Mutton Bustin’, calf scramble and kids’ chicken chase. In addition to the carnival rides and games, the Fair will feature several fun-filled and animal-packed activities, Radatz Magic, Tyzen the Hypnotist, Break-a-Boys, Montana Action Paintball, Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, Accidental Acrobats, petting zoo and dino demonstrations, among others. Also enjoy late night music and dancing in the Biergarten. Check the motor sports area for the Mud Drag, Tractor Races and more. And as always, the livestock barn will feature animals all week long. Food row and vendors also on-site.
Grounds entertainment included with Fair admission, excluding night shows and rodeo. Advance admission is $10 for adults, $4 for youth 6–12, free for those 5 and under, and $7 for seniors 62+. Concert tickets include fair admission day of. Carnival and rodeo admission sold separately. Weekly passes also available through the Fair website.
