Join your friends and neighbors for a summer favorite returning to the Emerson this month. Lunch on the Lawn will unfold on Wednesdays from 11am–1pm, July 9th through July 30th.
A favorite Bozeman tradition, this free community event features live music, local food vendors and children’s activities. Entertain the kids while enjoying music and mingling with other parents. Or, get away from your desk and soak up some sunshine on the Emerson’s west lawn. Here’s a look at the upcoming music lineup.
Eclectic two-piece The Boomerangs will open the series on July 9th. The duo brings a great mix of classic rock, pop and baby boomer favorites that will have the audience singing along. With diverse harmonies and multiple instrumental flavors, the Boomerangs create a fun and entertaining experience for everyone.
Following on July 16th is Emma & the Ledge. The duo skillfully creates a sound that’s luminous and atmospheric, yet energizing enough to send an audience to their feet. Their music weaves together blues, alternative, rock, folk and independent styles utilizing a mix of acoustic and electric guitars.
Settle in for Trio Grandio on July 23rd. Featuring members of the always-incredible local Grateful Dead tribute Dead Sky, this arrangement brings the full band’s sound down for a more laid-back setting. The trio will provide an incredible tribute to one of rock’s most legendary bands, creating a perfect show for Dead Heads and casual fans alike.
Estelle & the North Black Band close out the series on July 30th. The four-piece ensemble brings decades of experience in a variety of styles and genres like blues, rock and jazz. The band captures the essence of each genre while also bringing a unique flair to every performance.
Numerous food vendors will be on site during each event for those who don’t feel like packing a lunch. Delish! All events are free and open to the public. Also on the above Wednesdays, the Emerson will host Community Open Mic Nights with closing performances by four local bands: Pink Trio on July 9th, PermaFunk on July 16th, Group Hug on July 23rd and One Lane Bridge on July 30th. The events will feature food vendors, local artists and family activities and will be held from 5:30–8pm each night.
