“Go big or go home,” winter enthusiasts! Montana Backcountry Alliance brings the 19th annual Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival to The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, February 3rd. Prepare to get goosebumps as you “ooh!” and “ahh!” at the impact and importance of our winter wildlands through this collection of short films. Doors open at 6pm, with films set to begin at 7pm.
Produced each year as a celebratory, backcountry community event by the Winter Wildlands Alliance, the 2024 film lineup is full of snowy, cinematic adventure sure to inspire both the local backcountry and general communities. The award-winning films focus on adventure, environment, youth and ski culture.
Films in this year’s program include: What If? (by Josh Goldsmith), Con Artist (MBG Motion Pictures), Beloved Whitebark: Stalwart Witness (Creative Ascent Films), 109 Below (Stept Studios), Beyond Begbie (Zoya Lynch), Have an Adventure (Colby Elliot), Bloom (Kyle Hilken), burn. // A Ski Film (Kellen MacDonald), Racha (Andy Hardy) and The Redline Traverse (Steve Seime). Advance tickets are $18 at www.logjampresents.com and will also be available at the door for $20. And don’t miss the raffle! Numerous items have been donated by ski industry companies and local businesses in support of the event.
All proceeds assist Montana Backcountry Alliance in its mission to preserve quality, traditional, human-powered winter recreation experiences, reduce conflict, improve opportunity and promote safety among backcountry winter users in Montana.
