Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre will present a number of upcoming film screenings of the classic and family favorite variety this month. Gather friends and loved ones for some popcorn and the following endearing titles.
First up is the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at 7:30pm on March 14th.
Picking up where The Fellowship of the Ring left off, The Two Towers plunges you deeper into the heart of the epic struggle against the dark lord Sauron. As the Fellowship is fractured, Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) continue their perilous quest to destroy the One Ring, guided by the treacherous Gollum. Meanwhile, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas, and Gimli find themselves amidst the war-torn kingdom of Rohan, where King Théoden has fallen under the influence of the sinister Saruman.
A film Trivia Night follows on March 15th with a screening of Dune at 7:30pm.

On March 21st, enjoy the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King at 7:30pm.
This cinematic masterpiece, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s timeless classic, brings the battle for Middle-earth to its breathtaking climax. Witness Frodo and Sam’s perilous journey into the heart of Mordor as they struggle to destroy the One Ring, while Aragorn leads the desperate defense of Minas Tirith against the overwhelming forces of Sauron. Acclaimed classic Lawrence of Arabia screens on March 23rd at 2pm.
The epic of all epics, released in 1962, the film cements director David Lean’s status in the filmmaking pantheon with 3 hours and 47 minutes of grand scope, brilliant performances, and beautiful cinematography. The all-star cast includes Peter O’Toole, Anthony Quinn and Alec Guinness.
