A destination for entertainment of all varieties, Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre is also the perfect venue to catch a show by touring musical acts and more. Here’s a look at who’s on the calendar.
On Friday, April 18th, enjoy an evening of world-class music with The Great Guitars. Show starts at 7:30pm. All seats are $41.
Guitar virtuosos Bireli Lagrene, Martin Taylor and Ulf Wakenius create musical magic – three award-winning guitarists, eighteen strings. Combining Taylor’s award-winning virtuosic finger style with Lagrene’s jaw-dropping technique, and Wakenius’ incredible musical versatility, the concert features solo, duet and trio performances by these three acknowledged masters of fingerstyle, jazz and gypsy guitar. Between them, these guitar greats have worked with artists ranging from Tommy Emmanuel to David Grisman, Donald Fagen to Wynton Marsalis, and Bonnie Raitt to Bob Dylan.
Master guitar maven Luca Stricagnoli returns to the Ellen stage on Sunday, April 27th. The performance begins at 7:30pm. All seats are $37.50.
Stricagnoli is considered to be one of the most unique guitarists in the world. His creative style, which led him to invent instruments like the Reversed Triple Neck Guitar and the Reversed Slide Neck, vastly contributed to the modern evolution of acoustic guitar. One of the most acclaimed guitar showmen touring today, Stricagnoli has been hailed as a phenomenon and a prodigy by influential magazines all over the world, including NME, Guitar World, Der Spiegel, La Repubblica, Daily Sabah, Frankfurter Allgemeine and more. Note from the Ellen: “Luca is the most requested artist we have ever had play our stage. His show is not to be missed!”
