Ellen rolls film reels with silver screen favorites
Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre will present a number of upcoming film screenings of the classic and family favorite variety this month. Gather friends and loved ones for some popcorn and the following endearing titles.
The Goonies hits the big screen Saturday, May 7th at 7:30pm. From executive producer Steven Spielberg, this 1985 adventure comedy follows a group of young misfits who set out on a legendary adventure to find a pirate’s long-lost treasure. All seats are $8.
North by Northwest, Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller, screens Saturday, May 14th at 7:30pm. Gripping, suspenseful, and visually iconic, this film laid the groundwork for countless action movies to follow. The story follows a New York City ad-exec on the run after being mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies. The film stars Cary Grant, James Mason and Eva Marie Saint. All seats are $8.
Thirty years after its world premiere at The Ellen, Robert Redford’s Oscar-winning classic A River Runs Through It returns to the big screen on Saturday, May 21st at 7:30pm. Filmed in and around Bozeman, the movie stars Brad Pitt, Craig Sheffer, and Tom Skerritt. All seats are $8.
The 70th Anniversary screening of Singin’ in the Rain graces the silver screen on Saturday, May 28th at 7:30pm. Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds star in this all-singing, all-dancing film, considered by many to be the greatest musical of all time. All seats are $8.
