Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre is home to stage and screen entertainment of all varieties, but it’s also a great place to catch a show by touring acts. Here’s a look who’s set to visit in the coming weeks.
The Ellen proudly presents comedian Paula Poundstone on Saturday, September 17th at 8pm. Hailed by TIME Magazine as “one of the funniest stand-ups ever,” she’s known for her clever, observational humor and spontaneous wit. Her credentials are endless including paneling on NPR’s top show, Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!, and numerous television appearances such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Last Call with Carson Daly and Late Show with David Letterman. All seats are $45.

Singer, songwriter and Broadway stage actress Shayna Steele performs live in concert on Sunday, September 25th at 7:30pm. She is the kind of singer you wonder why you’ve never heard of her, but once you do, you’ll never forget. As seen on stage with artists like Bette Midler, Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson, and in Broadway’s Rent and Hairspray!, Steele embarks on her first ever U.S. tour as a solo artist following the tremendous success of her album, Rise. With a concert switching between originals, jazz standards and R&B favorites, her voice is described by London Jazz News as unleashing “enough voltage to light up the West End!” All seats are $29.
The world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra returns to the Ellen Tuesday, September 27th at 7pm. Back for an evening of live big band and dancing, sure to put you “In the Mood” for a good time! This 19-piece powerhouse group will perform favorites of the great American songbook, including “Moonlight Serenade,” “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “Tuxedo Junction” and many more. Remember to bring your dancing shoes! There will be room to ‘cut a rug.’ All seats are $23.75.
Coming soon to the Ellen: Nervous Theatre’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle on October 7th and 8th, California Guitar Trio Oct. 20th, Modern Rock Orchestra Oct. 29th and the Wailin’ Jennys on November 2nd. See venue website for additional details.
