Host to stage and screen entertainment of all varieties, Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre is also a great place to catch a show by touring musical acts. Here’s a look who’s set to visit in the coming weeks.
All-star supergroup John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band is next up on Friday, March 6th, at 7:30pm. All seats are $39.75.
Delivering bluegrass like no one has ever heard before, the band’s undeniable live shows have received stellar reviews. The foursome combines forces to form a spot-on union of impeccable musicianship, incomparable songwriting, incredible harmony vocals (a fresh twist combining bluegrass with elements of West Coast folk rock) and seasoned showmanship. This is the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music at its finest.
Following on Saturday, March 28th, 406ACP presents the A Capella Jam 2026. Singing begins at 7pm with tickets available for $22. Youth 5th grade and under admitted free.
This is 406ACP’s third annual invitational a cappella concert, featuring fusion, Bozeman’s very own contemporary mixed a cappella ensemble – plus national talent from the Barbershop Harmony Society, and Rhapsody, MSU’s student-run mixed a cappella group. Additionally, Southern Stride, the 2017 and 2019 Barbershop Harmony Society Southwestern District Mixed Harmony Champions from San Antonio, Texas, will be performing. Get ready for a night of fan favorites and fun!

Looking to a new month, contemporary Irish trio One for the Foxes is set for a performance on Friday, April 3rd. Music starts at 7:30pm. All seats are $32.75.
The exciting and dynamic transatlantic trio presents a rousing blend of Irish and American folk music, having already won over audiences on both sides of the ocean. The group is made up of Dublin’s Tadhg Ó Meachair (Goitse), Galway’s Dave Curley (SLIDE) and Denver, Colorado’s Joanna Hyde (The Hydes), and features a mix of Irish and American folk music and song – both traditional and newly- composed – presented in an energetic and engaging manner.
Their performances strike a tasteful balance between the stories found in ballads across both sides of the Atlantic and the respective instrumental music traditions of these places. Through a shared deep-rooted passion for Irish traditional music, this trio highlights the vital role of Irish traditional music as an origin of many American folk musics, and explores how those styles can interact with one another in a manner both eclectic and grounded.
Wine, beer and concessions will be sold in the lobby one hour before each event. Ticketing and further information about these and other upcoming happenings is available at www.theellentheatre.org. For additional inquiries, call the box office at (406) 585-5885. •
