Gallatin Valley Earth Day continues its annual event series preceding the spring festival with a pair of presentations this month. “Zero Waste Living, Simplified” will first be held Tuesday, March 3rd, at Bozeman Public Library. Julie Fathy will present during the 6:30pm talk.
Discover how to live a low-waste lifestyle – without the overwhelm. In this inspiring talk, Fathy takes attendees on a visual tour of her “zero waste” home, sharing simple and affordable ways to cut down on trash and rethink everyday consumption. Leave with practical, realistic solutions you can start using right away to live with less waste and more intention.

Following on Wednesday, March 25th, “Addressing Heat & Drought: Safeguarding Montana’s Environment for Human Health” will also be held at the Library. Julia Ryder of Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate will present at 6:30pm.
Our well-being is closely tied to the health of our environment. In Montana, rising heat and drought are affecting air quality, food sources and public health. Once we recognize this connection, we see the potential to drive meaningful change. Ryder will share resources to help attendees stay safe during poor air conditions, extreme heat and drought, as well as practical ways to join efforts to protect Montana and its future generations.
The talks will also be presented virtually for those who cannot attend. Find a registration link and additional event information at www.gallatinvalleyearthday.org. Details about other upcoming talks will be available through the website leading up to the April 25th festival.
